Chapter 17 Escape Route

• Scarlett continued to crawl, her eyes darting back and forth as she searched for any opening or escape route. Suddenly, she spotted a small gap between the rooftop of a building and the palace walls surrounding the palace, barely wide enough for her to cross over it. It was a risk, but it could be her only chance.
• After a few more moments of scanning the area, she finally spotted a tree that was close enough to the palace walls to allow her to jump down safely. With renewed determination, she carefully made her way towards the gap. It wasn't an ideal escape route, but it was better than nothing.
• Her heart was pounding with anticipation as she realized that it was even smaller than she had initially thought. But she was determined to make it work.
