Chapter 6

• Phoenix slowly opened her eyes as she felt something reflect on her face. Looking around, she frowned a bit at the unfamiliar room she was in. The room looked like an office and she was seated, a table before her.
• " Where am I? " She wondered. The drumming of someone's fingers on the table snapped her out and she looked up. Her pupil dilated on seeing the familiar blonde hair, making her beam a bit.
• " Guardian angel, it's you! " She exclaimed, excited to see Axion who was seated before her. He raised a brow at her.
• " Does she seriously think I'm her guardian angel? " He scoffed.
• " So, what am I doing here? " Phoenix asked with a broad smile.
• " I kidnapped you " Axion replied plainly.
• " Huh? Why would you do that? " Phoenix asked in confusion.
• Her eyes almost popped out of their sockets when something drawn to her. She sprang up from the chair immediately. She just remembered she was supposed to go meet Monica today.
• " Holy shit! " She exclaimed.
• " Sorry...I have to go...now " She said sharply and rushed to the door. She was just about to grab the handle when the door suddenly vanished, covered with a wall instead. She turned, glaring at Axion with frowning eyebrows. Axion only raised a brow at her.
• " Why are you in such a hurry? " He asked.
• " I just told you, I have to go. My aunt is waiting for me " Phoenix eyed him.
• " Oopsy. Too bad... you can't. There is no door for you to leave " Axion shrugged, but received an eye roll from Phoenix.
• " I know you did something to the door. I have to go, I don't have any time for joking around " She said, already getting angry.
• " Sure, go ahead " Axion replied.
• " This is serious! " Phoenix snapped, growing out of patience.
• " Can you make the door appear again...now " She commanded. Axion huffed with an eye roll.
• " Have a seat " He offered instead, but Phoenix shot him a hard glare.
• " I told you I...I have to leave now. What is wrong with you?! " She yelled at him. That got Axion's anger boiling. Snapping his finger, Phoenix found herself seated back on the chair, her hands tied together. Her eyes widened in shock.
• " What are you doing? " She asked.
• " I seriously need to go my...
• " Your Mom's life is at stake, yeah I know " Axion rounded up her words, making Phoenix more surprised.
• " How...did... you know? " She muttered, trying not to stutter, and Axion leaned forward.
• " I know...even more " He smirked.
• " Your Mom needs to undergo a gastrointestinal transplant and Doctor Maxwell gave you only two days to come up with a million. So you went to your aunt for help, who offered to help but with the condition of you marrying Mr. Wong " He revealed, and Phoenix's lips parted in shock.
• " How? " Was the question that left her lips.
• " Have you been stalking me? " She demanded.
• " Relatively...yeah " Axion answered.
• " How dare you?! " Phoenix fired up, making Axion almost hiss.
• " Once again, I saved your life. So you should be grateful " He said.
• " How did you save my life? You fucking kidnapped me! " Phoenix snapped at him.
• " And saved you from your mischievous aunt, so yeah, I saved your life " Axion shrugged.
• " What are you talking about? " Phoenix eyed him, her brows frowned deeply.
• " It's as simple as this..., your aunt is a liar " Axion dropped the bomb.
• " Hey, mind what you say about my aunt! " Phoenix snapped at him.
• " How can you be so stupid despite being a stripper? " Axion mumbled to himself.
• " Isn't it obvious to you? Your aunt wasn't going to help you in any way. She was just trying to sell you off for some good amount of billions " He revealed.
• " What nonsense are you talking about? " Phoenix glared at him.
• " This isn't nonsense, this is the truth. Mr. Wong isn't a famous businessman like your aunt painted him. He is a fucking human trafficker " Phoenix's eyes widened in horror.
• " What?! " She exclaimed and sprang up.
• " Sit " Axion commanded, and she shot him a glare.
• " Sit down " Axion snapped. Huffing angrily, Phoenix complied.
• " Why should I believe what you just said, huh? " She demanded.
• Axion placed a newspaper before her. Snapping his hand, he released her hands. Reluctantly grabbing the newspaper, Phoenix's eyes almost popped out of their sockets on seeing the headline.
• " FAMOUS HUMAN TRAFFICKER, MR WONG LEE FINALLY CAUGHT RED HANDED "
• Her lips parted in shock and tears wailed up her eyes. Not knowing how to react to the news, she slowly kept back the newspaper and leaned back on the chair, closing her eyes as her tears rolled down.
• " Aunt was just trying to sell me off? " Was the only question going on in her mind. She was still trying hard not to believe it but it was obvious and right before her.
• Axion frowned his brows on seeing her tears.
• " Is she pretending right now? " He scoffed.
• Deciding not to shade tears for what Monica did, Phoenix wiped her tears and opened her eyes. She sat up fully, folding her arms.
• " Why did you save me then? What do you want? " She asked with a serious look. Axion placed a document before her and leaned back.
• " I brought you here...to strike a deal with you " He said, making Phoenix raise a brow at him.
• " What deal are you talking about? " She asked.
• " It's a simple one. You need money to save your Mom. I need you to save my mom. So I want us to do a trade by batter. You save my Mom... I'll pay for your Mom's hospital bills "
• " I don't understand. Why do you need me to save your Mom? " Phoenix asked, confused.
• " Because only you can " Axion replied.
• " But how? Why am I the only one who can save her? " Phoenix couldn't help but ask again.
• " Cause you're the Red Phoenix fool! " Axion snapped, irritated by her constant questions. Phoenix stared blankly at him like he had finally lost his senses.
• " What are you talking about? " She mumbled, but Axion heard her.
• " You're the Red Phoenix, capable of saving my Mom. What is it that you don't understand? " He pointed out.
• " What's a Red Phoenix? " Phoenix asked, making him scoff in disbelief at her stupid question.
• " The only being capable of bringing my Mom back! " He snapped, hitting his hand on the table in anger as his eyes turned purple. Phoenix flinched back in fear on seeing his eyes.
• " What's... wrong... with...your eyes? " She stuttered. Axion stood up and walked up to her. He grabbed her arm and pulled her up, pulling her to himself, his purple eyes piercing into Phoenix's, who almost started crying.
• " Stop playing with me, Phoenix. I don't have all the time in the world, understood? " He growled and Phoenix nodded firmly, fearing for her life.
• " You're hurting me " She muttered and Axion let go of her arm, walking back to his seat. Closing his eyes and snapping them back open, they went back to normal.
• " Sign the document before you and I'll pay for your mother's treatment immediately " He instructed.
• " How sure am I that you aren't lying or trying to sell me off too? " Phoenix eyed him in suspicion.
• " I spoke with Doctor Maxwell and he told me... Lilly has only until tomorrow to live if the operation doesn't commence immediately " Phoenix's eyes widened as fear ran through her.
• " If you want your Mom to still live, you'll sign that document...now and stop bugging me with unnecessary questions" Axion hissed.
• Phoenix, without thinking twice, and with a shaky hand, grabbed the pen on the table. Without going through the document, she signed it without hesitation. A satisfactory smirk can be seen forming on Axion's lips.
• " I've signed it, what's next? " Phoenix asked, her heart skipping fast in fear.
• " Here's a call for you, it's from Maxwell " Axion passed a phone to her. She took it immediately.
• " Hello doctor "
• " Don't worry Phoenix, the whole payment has been made. The surgery will commence soon " Maxwell replied and happiness ran through Phoenix.
• " Thank you so much doctor, I'll be at the hospital in 30 mins " She chuckled and ended the call.
• Walking over to Axion, who stood up, she hugged him immediately.
• " Thank you so much,, Mister. I'll forever be indebted to you. You're indeed my guardian angel " She thanked him, hugging him even more tightly. Axion's eyes widened in shock, his brain still trying to fathom what was going on.

• Monica can be seen dialing a number with a cigarette.
• " Hello. The plan failed. That stupid girl ran away today and Mr. Wong got arrested. I don't know what to do, I'm so confused and frustrated " She groaned.
• " Calm down Monica. The plan must have failed but the payment has been made. Don't worry " The person replied.
• " But how? How was she able to come up with the money? " Monica asked, shocked.
• " I don't how it happened. But some guy came to me and paid for Lilly's whole medical treatment. But that isn't the point...
• " The point is that...we've received the money so we can say... the plan did work out though...
