Chapter 8 Allen
- ALLEN
- Thinking of a particular blonde all day wasn't a healthy and professional state to carry out an important mission. He wanted that feeling again, the tingling feeling in his chest as he nibbled those delicious lips. Allen just knew he wanted to feel it again.
- Hardly concentrating all day, he finally completed his mission and sent the reports to Maverick. Back at his condo, Mira wasn't there as he expected. Allen thought she would try to stick around him all day to fulfill her promise, but it seems he overestimated himself.
- The dress he bought for her was unused.
- "She asked for another dress from her chauffeur", Reilly informed.
- Allen bit back his raging emotions and checked his phone. Each one had no message from Mira as he expected, again. His fingers lingered over her contact, fighting the urge to call or not to.
- He finally resisted the urge and messaged Lucian instead. He didn't expect that the wild boy was also sulking about his stepsister's absence because" Mira kidnapped her" as he put it.
- "Where are they?"
- "At her studio. Mira is a weapon fashioned against me", Lucian bemoaned.
- "Location?"
- "I don't know yet. I will send it as soon as I get it."
- Allen waited patiently. Hurriedly picking up his phone as soon as the screen lit up. But the message wasn't from Lucian, but from Maverick.
- "The bastard got Leah!"
- Leah?
- Allen was out of his condo in a flash. Leah was Maverick's little sister. The naive little lady is unaware of her brother's business dealings. She insisted on living in Yakas away from her brother.
- As an emergency nurse who took different shifts, her shift for the day was morning till afternoon. She also covered for her best friend and could only go home at night. Who knew she had been monitored by her brother's rival gang, Mulatto gang?
- Maverick informed Allen that he was already on his way from the Mainland. Allen and the men set to work, tracking Leah's location, which was extra difficult as they found out about the kidnap too late.
- It was past 9pm at night when Allen finally got the hint of Leah's location. Maverick arrived just in time, and they went together to rescue Leah.
- Leah was tied up in a container by the seaside, the gang men were stationed around the container, while Leah was inside being tortured psychologically and emotionally by the gang leader's brother, Daniel.
- "What do you say? We hook up, and our relationship will bring our brothers together" Daniel tugged at Leah's dress, pushing the fabric up her thighs.
- "Please... Let me go. My brother doesn't have a gang". Leah twisted her wrist that was firmly tied up behind her trying to loosen it, but the rope dug deeper into her wrist, drawing blood.
- Swat!
- Daniel slapped Leah in annoyance. As much as he loved teasing her, his patience was cut short. He was already aroused by her large breasts filling the chest area of her dress impressively. Leah screamed, and her body shook as she cried out, causing her breasts to jiggle as well. Daniel was aroused by this action.
- Impatiently, he pulled the dress violently, tearing it in the process. Just as he made to grab the perky mound greedily, a loud bang was heard.
- Allen kicked the container door open only to meet with such a scene. A helpless lady with an endowed chest out in glory, her eyes teary giving her a pitiful look and a scruffy rough guy looming over her.
- Shameless.
- That was all he could think of the guy looming over the sparsely dressed Leah.
- Allen aimed at the hand holding a gun and shot skillfully. Blood splashed over Leah's pale face due to fear. Daniel didn't expect the shot. He tried to go pick up the gun with his unarmed hand, but Allen didn't give him the chance.
- A gunshot resounded followed by a loud thud as Daniel hit the ground heavily. Allen shot his left leg, keeping him alive but in pain. He hurried to Leah, regretting why he didn't have an overcoat on to cover her nudity.
- He quickly loosened the rope tied around her wrists and Leah pulled her torn clothes to cover herself, her cheeks flaming in embarrassment.
- They didn't notice Daniel had somehow crawled to his gun and pulled the trigger. Allen felt a sharp pain in his shoulder. He shot back without thinking, he put a bullet in between Daniel's eyebrows.
- "Oh my God! " Leah exclaimed, seeing Allen's gray shirt dyed with blood. Thankfully, the bullet only grazed his skin. Leah was in her nurse mood immediately, she had somehow tied her torn shirt together with her hairband.
- "We have to stop the bleeding"
- Just then Maverick walked in and took in the situation, barely glancing at the body on the floor. His attention was on Allen's bleeding shoulder. Leah's eyes trailed over to the gun in his hand, and all the confidence that she was mistaken for someone else vanished. It seems she didn't know as much about her brother as she thought.
- "Let's get you treated". He didn't even look at his sister in the eyes.
- "Just get me the first kit". Leah didn't mind Maverick's cold behavior, in fact, she was used to it.
- At the moment, she just wanted to treat the man who saved her from a lifetime humiliation. The stinging pain from her bruised wrists made her hands shaky, but she didn't care, only focusing on stabilizing herself before Maverick brought the needed tools for the treatment.
- The two Mulatto gang men remaining have been bound and taken away by Maverick's men. Maverick drove to the nearest pharmacy and got the items Leah listed to treat Allen's wound, all by himself. He held Allen in a special position in his heart. Seeing him hurt because of his own negligence made him angry at himself.
- While Allen and Leah were driven to the nearest hotel just beside the pharmacy. Allen sends someone to get Leah a new dress and shirt for him as they wait for Maverick.
- The cut was deep and needed stitching just as Leah noted earlier after checking the wound. Sterilizing her tools, Allen's men held up the lights in the car that had been turned into a makeshift theater.
- Leah's fingers holding the curved needle deftly stitched back Allen's skin together. Leah couldn't help but glance at his unchanging expression throughout the whole process.
- She was impressed at his pain tolerance because he didn't take any pain relievers or any numbing medication before she stitched him. Something strange stirred within her.
- Finally free, Allen left the brother and sister to talk. Maverick sure had a lot of explaining to do. He finally opened his phone to check if Lucian had sent the address he asked for. He directed his driver to the place without another thought, not minding the dizziness he was feeling, or the fact that he took medication on an empty stomach.
- Leah's reminder resounded in his head, but he pushed it away, only one person remained potent in his mind. Finally fulfilling the desire he had been craving all day, he slumped against the surprise but pleased M
- ira, sending her another wave of confusion.
