Chapter 3 A Bizarre Night
- Feeling uncomfortable, Celia felt as though her body were under the weight of something heavy. She tried to push it away, but for some reason, she felt weak and powerless.
- Unable to withstand the rising temperature, she instinctively tore at her bathrobe. Before long, the robe was partially undone, revealing her smooth, porcelain white skin, which Justin's arm happened to brush against.
- In an instant, his breathing became heavier, and his large hand traced over her body. His warm, masculine scent took over her neck aggressively, leaving her disoriented and causing her to instinctively respond to him.
- She felt really hot, as if her whole body were about to explode. She was desperately craving something to extinguish the fire.
- Justin did not expect her to be so passionate. A smirk played on his lips. "Little one, you brought this upon yourself." With that, he bent down and kissed her lips, greedily seizing and conquering.
- Celia was already in a fog. His kisses only served to cloud her mind further, easily wiping out any remnants of her rationality.
- She felt like a small boat adrift in a sea of flames, her consciousness sinking deeper and deeper…
- …
- The next day, she woke up feeling sore all over. When she moved a little, she felt like every bone in her body had been taken apart and put back together.
- She was perplexed. Memories of the night before kept flashing through her mind in fragments. She managed to piece together several fragments. Apparently, she had spent a bizarre night in bed with a man last night.
- Her eyes widened with shock. How did this happen? I was sleeping so well; why did such a thing happen when I woke up? Who is that guy, and how did he get into my room? And why didn't I resist at all?
- Her head was about to explode with all sorts of questions swirling around.
- She was overwhelmed with panic; more than anything, she found it hard to accept what had happened. The night before was her first time. Although she had no one to share it with, she did not want to give herself away so carelessly to a man she might not even have met.
- She clutched her head in pain, feeling like she was going crazy.
- She wrapped herself in a blanket and entered the bathroom, repeatedly washing her body with water, tears streaming down her cheeks.
- Her eyes were swollen from crying when she came out of the bathroom.
- She thought that the universe had been really unjust to her, first subjecting her to humiliation and embarrassment before robbing her of her virginity.
- She walked a few steps and felt so sore and weak that she almost fell to her knees. It was evident just how intense the night before had been.
- After crying her heart out, she gradually regained her composure, and her rationality slowly returned. Recalling how hot and dizzy she had felt last night, she realized that something was seriously wrong. It felt like I had taken some kind of drug. Wait a second…
- Celia shuddered at the thought of her having taken some kind of drug. She had not eaten anything unusual last night except for the two pills given to her by the receptionist. Could it be that those pills weren't cold medicine at all?
- Realizing this, she suddenly felt the need to seek clarification.
- She hastily changed into a clean set of clothes, concealing all those hickeys on her body, and then hurried downstairs with her luggage.
- It was 10 a.m., and the hotel lobby was busy with people coming and going. Celia approached the front desk, intending to speak with the receptionist from the previous night. To her disappointment, the lady had already finished her shift and was replaced by two other young ladies.
- "Miss Jeane, Millie works the night shift. If there's anything you need, we're here to assist you," one of them said courteously to her.
- Celia's mood darkened, and she grew even more restless. It's just the second day after my return to the country, and yet so many unpleasant things have happened. This city really makes me feel uncomfortable wherever I go!
- She suppressed her restlessness and patiently said, "There's no need to. Get your manager here. I'd like to see him immediately right now!"
- "Sure. Please give us a moment."
- Since Celia was staying in the presidential suite, the receptionist dared not keep her waiting, so she hurried to call Patrick over.
- As soon as Patrick came over, he noticed from a distance that Celia did not look very pleased. He quickly put on a smile and asked, "Hello, miss. I am Patrick Zeller, the manager here. How can I help you?"
- Celia glanced at the slightly overweight Patrick. She said with some hesitation, "Hi, Mr. Zeller. I'm the guest staying in Room A1001. Last night at around 10 p.m., when I came back from outside, one of your receptionists gave me two pills. I'd like to know what those pills were."
- Patrick's heart skipped a beat. Room A1001? Isn't that the room I reserved for Mr. Howard last night? Also, those pills were meant for the woman serving him. How did they end up with her instead?
- "Is there anything wrong with those pills?" Despite his internal doubts, he acted as if he knew nothing.
- Celia clenched her fists, wanting to yell at him. Yes, there's a serious problem! It might be thanks to those two pills I took that I lost my virginity.
- However, she could not say anything. This matter concerns my virginity, and I don't have the courage to make it public. Besides, my reputation in Encten is already bad enough. If people find out that I slept with a stranger without knowing, it might attract even more ridicule and derision.
- At the thought of this, Celia's face turned pale. She gritted her teeth and said, "It's nothing. Just find out about it for me."
- "Alright, please wait a moment. I'll find out for you right away." Patrick nodded.
- He immediately took out his phone and stepped aside to make a call. When the call was answered, he promptly asked, "Millie, tell me. Did the woman I had you arrange to serve Mr. Howard come or not?"
- A trembling voice rang on the other end. "I-I'm sorry, Mr. Zeller. I just found out, too. That woman never came last night. It's said she got into a minor car accident on her way here and broke some bones. She spent the whole night in the hospital."
- Patrick changed color in an instant. He scolded angrily under his breath, "Do you have any idea what you've done? There was another woman in Room A1001 last night, and you gave the medicine to the wrong woman. Now, she has come over to settle the score!
- Millie panicked at once. "What? What should we do now? I didn't know I was mistaken. The woman last night was also wearing a champagne-colored dress just as you described. She was all wet, and I thought she had some accident, so I gave her a cup of warm water and also gave her the medicine."
- "Why you…! You're fired! Starting tomorrow, you don't need to come to work anymore," Patrick said before hanging up the phone in exasperation.
