• The next day….Friday…. was a big day at Victor’s casino. Every Friday night, Victor arranged a high-stakes poker game for his richest high rollers. It was held in the basement level of his casino, where he had built a lavish locker room, a deluxe sauna, several private massage tables, and a large, opulent game room to specifically cater to his wealthiest customers.
• There was one large poker table in the middle of the room where six players could play at a time, but with plenty of leg room underneath….the walls of the ornate space were lined with big, plush-cushioned chairs and sofas, with open bars at both ends of the room.
• He usually had about ten high-end gamblers on any given Friday, and they’d all take turns sitting at the poker table, where they’d gamble extremely high stakes, while enjoying the lush accommodations Victor provided them throughout the night. The best thing about it for Victor was that…. regardless of who won or lost…. his casino got a significant “house cut” for sponsoring the event.
