Chapter 13 The Girl Who Transferred

• The public library downtown is nothing like our school library.
• Our school library has glass walls and new computers and a librarian who whispers. The public library has old carpet and fans that don’t work well and a librarian who tells you to be quiet in a very loud voice.
• Sofia Lee was waiting at a table in the back, near the history section. I recognized her from her old school ID photo that Ms. Avery showed us. She was thinner now, with short hair.
