  • He was staring at me, trying to hide his gaze behind the novel in his hand. It was so dramatic of him.
  • I continued to read the novel while being conscious of Matthew's eyes on me. His stare made me uneasy, yet I couldn't resist the temptation to glance at him. As soon as our eyes met, he quickly averted his gaze and hid his face behind the book he was holding. It seemed like he had been caught doing something he wasn't supposed to.
  • With a mischievous grin, I extended my hand toward the book and leisurely nudged it downward, gradually unveiling his eyes. At that moment, he appeared both bashful and captivating to me. His hazel eyes locked onto mine, and I couldn't deny the fondness I felt for his presence. It was as if he had the power to make me forget the reason I was there, to immerse myself in sorrowful thrillers and comic books that my mother typically enjoyed. Instead, I had opted for a different path, selecting a romance novel, coincidentally mirroring his choice. I must clarify that my intention was not to impress him, but somehow, that's exactly what I ended up doing.
