Chapter 29 — He Did Nothing

• “I can hear you guys,” Gifford announced in front of us. Layla struck out her tongue at him from behind.
• “But Layla is right.” Rain suggested as we all kept walking. “We shouldn’t use all our time for work. We can relax a little.”
• “We are having a party in two hours.” Gifford wrapped up his hair. “You can have fun for the entire night, play cards and fucking shit before we start work at noon tomorrow.” He tied it in a ponytail.
