• Xandros, in one breath, shed that chilling astonishment that had settled over him. The amber glint in his eyes shone with the hunger of a predator cornering its prey. He slowly, silently, made his way towards the bed. Each step made my heart race as if it would leap from my chest, and I could do nothing but cower like a tiny, cornered sparrow in my silk nightgown.
• When he knelt down at the edge of the bed, his enormous hands grasped between my legs, spreading my knees even further apart. His face was level with my groin, his breath brushing against my soaking wet skin.
