Chapter 114

• The moon had been full and hung high in the sky, a silver light shining over the palace grounds. I walked to a field outside the palace where I was to meet Eun Kyung. Events of the day still weighed heavily in my mind, but at the thought of her seeing her, peace came.
• She had been standing under a tree on the field and I was to find her illuminated by the moonlight. She looked up at my appearance and smiled with eyes that shone.
• "Eun Kyung," I called softly and drew near to her. "Thanks for seeing me again."
