Chapter 36 Fighting Temptation

• The view of the mountains before me is breathtaking, and as the cool air brushes against my skin while I stand on the edge of the cave, I realize that I'll always associate freedom with this. This view. Mountains. Cold air. The smell of dirt and nature.
• The sun is just starting to dip behind the horizon, so the sky is a palette of bright colors. Hues of gold, oranges, and pinks bleeding together and painting the perfect picture. As time passes by, the bright colors fade into cooler tones. Blues and purples. The air grows colder and it burns when I breathe it deep into my lungs, but pain helps me feel alive, and I haven't felt that way in a hell of a long time.
