Chapter 41

• Mr. Carlos was surprised by Smith's question. It was a question he least expected Smith to ask him. He thought Smith was going to ask him why he had fired him from work and he would have to come up with a lie to tell him but Smith asked him the question directly as though he knew someone had to do with his dismissal in his restaurant.
• Smith stroked his chin gently as he stared at the man before him. He was carefully reading his expression and body movement.
• Even though Mr. Carlos was cruel, he knew he wouldn't fire him from his restaurant for no reason since he had been consistent. He knew someone must have been influenced by someone with money.
