Chapter 7

  • “President Meyer, I just finished speaking with Ms. Sue. she said that the young mistress left the house about an hour ago, She isn't back home nor is she here at the hotel”.
  • Gael reported after going out for a couple of minutes.
  • zayn was startled upon hearing what his assistant, Gael, had said.
  • How could she not be at the hotel after leaving the house one hour ago? did something happen on her way here, is that why she's not here yet?
  • Zayn was lost in thought thinking of what could have possibly happened to Giselle.
  • Giselle is not the type of woman that goes late for an appointment, especially when it is an important occasion like theirs. wedding anniversary dinner; she wouldn't want to give Zayn a reason to be mad at her as the last time.
  • “Also, I just got the news that the Chauffer that was supposed to pick her up earlier came back to this hotel and left a few minutes later”.
  • “Could it be that Mrs. Meyer had come to the hotel and left immediately after?” Gael asked, waddling after Zayn as he made to step out of the private garden.
  • When the words that Gael had said got into his ears, he suddenly came to a stop with disbelief tottering in his eyes.
  • With a swift movement, he turned around to face Gael, who had stopped talking after seeing the darkened expression on his face.
  • He didn't dare to say anything else as he waited for the young master to digest.
  • “What did you just say? Giselle was at the hotel but she left soon after that? How is even possible? ”
  • “President Meyer, I'm not saying that she was at the hotel, I just said that the chauffeur came to the hotel earlier and left soon after ”
  • “I don't have any time for the basic assumption. I just want you to find out where Giselle is at this moment. get to work and better come back with the details”.
  • Zayn said with a cold tone without raising his voice.
  • But Gael got the hint and immediately left without saying a word.
  • That woman definitely can't be so unruly to go against the time frame I gave her.
  • He glared at his wristwatch as he made it to leave the private garden.
  • After taking a few steps forward to go, he felt his leather shoes relinquishing on a hard object; the object was tugging hardly to the sole of his shoe and he had no choice but to bent over and have a look.
  • Immediately, he yanked off the object from the sole of his shoe. A look of recognition crept onto his face and he was bewildered.
  • An earring!!
  • It was the same piece of jewelry that he has brought from the Pearl jewelry.
  • When buying the jewelry earlier, he had specifically asked that the jewelry he wanted should be of a limited edition; the ornaments were specially customized for him and only he has this specific collection of the jewelry– it can't be found anywhere else.
  • He had asked his secretary, Sofia, to have the earrings and necks sent over to the house while he held on to the rings.
  • But how come the earrings are lying on the floor right in of the entrance to the private garden.
  • The earrings wouldn't come there on their own, right? someone must have dropped it there.
  • could it be true that Giselle had come to the garden earlier? if she'd come then, why did she leave without coming over to the table?
  • oh no! I hope she didn't hear Danica and Me talking earlier. if she had come about ten minutes earlier then it's possible that she heard everything we talked about.
  • “Sir, someone is waiting for you in the lobby. Please come with me”.
  • it was the hotel's waitress.
  • Zayn snapped back to see the young woman standing before him with her head lowered and her lips twitching slightly.
  • This is not the time to have a meeting with anyone. he needed to find Giselle first.
  • “Who is it?”
  • “He didn't say his name sir”
  • He was about to refuse but on second thought, he went outside with her.
  • “Let's go”.
  • “Miss, I think the young master has realized that Giselle was at the hotel earlier. He just found a piece of her jewelry in the garden just now. What should I do?”.
  • “You're so useless. I told you not to leave any clues behind, right? you were supposed to clean after her but you couldn't do that as well. hopeless. Don't worry about doing anything, just make sure that he doesn't see you anywhere close to him”.
  • “I understand, ma'am”.
  • “I'll have someone handle it. just leave the hotel at this point”.
  • With that, the phone was disconnected. Then, she wore a frown as she waited for the phone to connect once more.
  • “Have you got the girl? what? no? you better make sure you don't lose sight of her. She shouldn't escape at all cost, I don't care how you handle it”.
  • After the call ended, Danica held her head and screamed in anger while sitting in the car.
  • why is it so difficult to get rid of a bratty pest like Giselle? she's just a good-for-nothing piece of trash but she's giving me so little peace of mind. no matter what you do, I won't spare you nor give you a chance to come close anymore.
  • “ Take me to the blue ridge mansion right now”.
  • She ordered and the driver slammed on the gas almost immediately.
  • why are all these people after me? who did I offend? I haven't done anything so why would anyone want to hurt me like this?
  • am I going to die like this? what would happen to my baby? I can't let anything happen to my child. she hasn't even been born to talk more of experiencing the joy of coming into this world, how then could I allow her to die along with me? No!!
  • Different thoughts kept running through her mind as she kept running along to the wilderness of the night. The more she ran, the more difficult it becomes to hide away from the eyes of her pursuers.
  • It was getting hard for her to run on her heels since her legs has begun to hurt very much, but she couldn't dare to spare a few minutes to pull them off– it was as if they were going to get to her any minute now if she were to stop for a while.
  • She kept running as fast as her legs could carry while one of her hands was pressed against her stomach as she feared for the child in her womb.
  • The men chasing after her were getting angrier as she had refused to slow down at the pace she was going– They thought she was going to get weary of running soon but to their utmost surprise, she was going to give up anytime soon.
  • What is more, is the fact that the boss kept calling to urge them on.
  • If they were to fail in capturing the girl then, they might as well die in her place the boss wasn't going to spare any of them for being so negligible.
  • “Go after her! don't let her out of your sight!
  • “We can't afford to let her slip out of our hands this time, she needs to die, we need to make sure she does!
  • the voice rang out through her mind as she runs for her dear life in the middle of the night.
  • she ran as fast as she could but they soon– They kept running faster.
  • Danica has always done whatever she threatens to do, so the thugs were very scared of making her mad. She wouldn't think twice about it.
  • Ms. Sue constantly paced around the living room while dialing Giselle's phone number. The phone rang continuously but she wouldn't pick up the phone.
  • After trying the phone many times and it wasn't picked up, she began to panic as she was scared that something bad had happened to her on her way to the hotel – after the call, she received from the young Master's assistant, Gael, her fears had heightened up greatly.
  • Just as she was still dialing the number, she heard a loud knock on the door, and she was startled immediately.
  • why would anyone knock at the door instead of using the doorbell?
  • she thought as she went to open the door.
  • As soon as she slide the door open, she felt a black cloth covering her eyes, and she blackout immediately while putting up a fight with the people. Unfortunately, she couldn't see who the people were and most importantly, what they want from her.
  • Meanwhile, Giselle had run out of energy to continue running away from the men chasing after her.
  • After getting to the end of the road, she swerved around to a hidden corner to find a place to hide her head.
  • Just as she stepped to the other side, she was stunned by the sight before her.
  • There was a cliff!!
  • Now, she's stuck between the devil and the red sea; there was no way out for her here as she froze in her spot while moving backward fearfully.
  • “Look who we have right here. it's the princess!!!”
