• “Please let go of me,” I muffle into the hands of the person choking me but I’m only met with a chuckle.
• “I just wanted to play with you!,” a feminine voice I recognize says before finally releasing me.
• I glance at Charlie Lakewood Sebastian’s younger sister and she looks just as I remember but then I’m reminded this is her first time seeing me when she shakes my hand.
• “I’m Charlie, Sebastianis my big brother and I’m just mad he didn’t introduce me to you before the wedding day.”
• “Hi Charlie, I’m sorry everything happened in a rush. ” I say hoping to calm her down as she looks like she’s about to cry.

• The wedding reception takes place in the grand hall of the mansion and only a few guests are invited, the pack Elders, close family relatives and Sebastian’s business associates.
• When Nina and the elders ask of my parents I force the bile down my throat when I lie to them.
• “My parents died during a work trip to Scotland when I was younger and it’s just been me, my best friend and older cousin Nicolas.”

• Later on I return to my bedroom and as I’m preparing for bed the door bursts open.
• Sebastian walks in with a blank expression on his face.
• “Why are you looking at me like I’m a ghost ? Am I not your husband?”

• “You bet I am, I spoke to Nina last night. She’s happy to give me a job at the company.”
• “Perfect!” I am excited that everything seems to be coming to place.
• A chair scrapes the floor and I I look up to find Sebastian taking a seat at the other edge of the table.
• He barely mutters a “morning” before his gaze zones in on the newspaper in his hands.
• I stared at him for a moment wondering what really changed him because the Sebastian I knew was a kind man but moved my gaze the moment I feel his eyes on me .
• “Good morning everyone, how was your night?”
• Nina asks,coming into the room looking with her makeup perfect at 8am.
• Charlie comes in too and takes a seat next to me.
• “Are you going to play games with me today sissy?” She asks me.
• “Of course,” I say, enjoying her bubbly energy .
• “Alpha, there is something you need to come and see!” A wide eyed guard rushes into the dining hall.
• “Why have you decided to disturb my peace this morning ?” Sebastian asks, raising an eyebrow.
• “Alpha I swear it’s urgent please.”
• Sebastian sighs,”Whatever it is you can get my Beta for goddess sake. It’s not even up to 9am. Don’t you have respect?”
• The guard looks frightened as if he is about to pee in his pants which makes me wonder what might be so urgent that it cannot wait any second longer.
• “This better be worth it,” Sebastian says and as he stands up, a thunderous earthquake echoes in the room.
