• “You must be really satisfied now, huh?” Zack’s voice cut through the air like a blade. “Throwing all the blame on Alice just to save your own skin. You faked the evidence, didn’t you?”
• Chris turned slowly, his face unreadable. Then his lips curled into a mocking grin. “Wow… are you seriously defending Alice now? You’ve got to be kidding me, Zack. That girl spent thirty minutes crying at your feet, begging you to believe she was innocent. But what did you do?” He stepped closer, voice dripping with sarcasm. “You stood there like a statue, acting like she was speaking Martian.
