Chapter 49 Attempted Capture

• I’ve been at the den for a couple of weeks now. The first couple days, those of us who are not bears had to learn about the equipment we will be installing. We had to learn every aspect of how it works and how to properly install and test the equipment. We looked over maps and practiced in a holograph room that looked like something out of Star Trek. The room was programed to look and feel like the actual terrain that we will be working in. This was like virtual reality times 100. We could climb on the rocks, drill holes and dig like we will have to do out in the field.
• Rose and I also got the opportunity to train with the bear warriors. I’m happy to say that I am still undefeated. I got the chance to hand a cocky bear his ass. He thought he could play with me like prey and then take me down. He learned very quickly that I was not an easy target. After I lifted him in the air with a whirlwind of air and tossed him without breaking a sweat, he got serious, and we started a hand to hand combat in honest. He was the strongest opponent I have ever faced, but I soon saw his weakness. He depends on brute force. He likes to overpower his opponent early on, so he comes on full power up front and burns out of energy. Don’t get me wrong, his skill is unmatched, but I just had to avoid direct hits and wear him down, then go on the offensive. After more than an hour of brutal blow for blow action, I got him down and spanked that ass, literally. I earned the respect of the bears that day.
• Lacey made it to the den later that day after training was over. Lacey let me know that Alpha Clark had some pack business to take care of, so he won’t make it to the den until the next week. She didn’t go into what the issue was and I didn’t ask, though I assume it may be related to the leak we think is at his pack. Lacey did mention that the she wolves are becoming bolder in their attempt to get Alpha Clark’s attention since I left. A couple of them even approached her to warn her off. We both got a good laugh from that considering that Lacey is a beta wolf with special power and could have roasted them. They should know that Alpha Clark is waiting for his mate and none of them stand a chance with him no matter how hard they try.
