Chapter 5 (My Breeder)
- Damian
- For the hundredth time, I called her name, "Selene." There is something about her and the way she makes me feel that I still do not understand.
- I stood close to my window staring at the stars, I very much expected her to react that way l when I attempted to touch her but it still hurt me a little bit.
- “Am I scary?, it is not like I forced her," I muttered to myself as my wolf growled.
- “What?” I asked, rolling my eyes.
- "We both know you forced her; she did not consent to this," he said, slightly irritated.
- My wolf appeared to be drawn to Selene; I must admit, she is stunning, but I have a woman I adore.
- “Do you like her?” I squinted my eyes as if he were in front of me.
- “N...no, I just pity her” He stuttered.
- “Liar” I mentally yelled.
- “I heard you” He warned while I rolled my eyes.
- I knew he was lying considering the way he stuttered. Selene was more than a breeder to me but I do not intend to develop any feelings for her whatsoever.
- I strolled casually to my bed and laid on it making it dip, my eyes roamed my ceiling as I reminisced on the event earlier.
- I wondered if I was rude by asking her to leave. Pondering on it, I slept off.
- ***********
- The shuffling from the door quipped my attention as I sat properly trying to decipher the scent of who was at the door.
- “Did you miss me?” Olivia popped her head into the room smiling, while I chuckled at her question.
- “You wouldn't know if you keep standing there” My deep voice resonated the whole room as she walked in. I took in her statuette as she got closer to me.
- Placing my hands on her waist, I drew her into a passionate kiss making her moan “Gosh, I have missed you” I groaned as I broke the kiss.
- She hugged me tightly, placing light kisses on my neck “Is everything okay?” I asked, pulling her to look at me.
- Her shoulder slacked as she slouched beside me “Where is she?” She asked solemnly.
- I shot her a quizzical look “Your breeder?”
- Pinching my nose “Her room, I guess” I answered nonchalantly.
- “I thought you both were supposed to…” She trailed off.
- “Yes but it didn't happen, is that why your face is like this?” I studied her reaction as she shrugged.
- Pulling her to my lap “She is just a breeder nothing more” I assured her placing a kiss on her forehead.
- “Mmm, I trust you” She smiled.
- “Had breakfast yet?” I asked placing her gently on the bed.
- “No, I couldn't wait for the day to break” She shyly replied while I released a throaty laughter.
- “Let me freshen up, so we can eat” She nodded as I headed to the bathroom.
- “Alpha” Adrain bowed slightly while I nodded at him as we stepped out of my room.
- “What's my schedule like?” I asked while we alighted the stairs.
- He filled me in on my activities of the day on our way to the dining room.
- “Thank you” Olivia smiled when I pulled out a seat for her to settle in.
- “Where is she?” I asked Adrian taking my own seat.
- “Emery went to fetch her” He replied while I hummed in response.
- I and Olivia dished out our food as we ate from it engaging in light conversations.
- The fine fragrance of jasmine and lavender with a fresh citrusy scent wafted through my nose captivating my senses, I clutched my fork trying to concentrate.
- The closer she got the more eager I was to glance at her “Good morning Alpha” My stomach churned in excitement as her voice filled my eardrums.
- “Mmm,” I glanced at her insanely beautiful face although her eyes looked a little bit sore.
- “All thanks to you” My wolf reprimanded me.
- “Good morning” She greeted Olivia who seemed not to acknowledge her presence.
- Emery and I exchanged greetings as she sat closer to Selene.
- “Is she supposed to eat with us?” Olivia asked with a frown tainted on her pretty face.
- “Yes, where else?” Emery replied, she has never been a fan of Olivia so I expected that.
- “But” “I will eat in my room” Selene attempted to stand up. She seemed uninterested in the trouble Olivia was creating.
- “Sit” I instructed.
- “Damian!” Olivia whined dropping her fork, I shot her a hard stare making her compose herself.
- The dining room returned to its original silence with a tinge of tension as everyone faced their meal.
- I coughed slightly after I was done eating signaling Adrain to tag along with me “Let's talk later,” I kissed Olivia's forehead as I headed out of the dining room.
- **********
- “Did you sleep with her?” Adrain asked the moment we walked into my office.
- “No”
- “She isn't ready yet” Adrain confirmed.
- “Who cares? She should open her legs and let me do my thing. It's not supposed to be that hard” I scowled.
- Adrain coughed “What?” I glared at him.
- “Nothing, just don't chase her away. You need an heir and you need her too” Adrain warned as he settled on the couch.
- “How is the pack training going?” I asked diverting the topic.
- “Great, they are getting stronger as the day passes by” He replied.
- “We need a very strong army, leave no room for any mistake” I warned sternly.
- “Yes, Alpha” He bobbed his head.
- “That reminds me, where is Lucien?” I asked, scrunching my brows.
- “Don’t even get me started, your cousin is a thorn in my flesh. I wonder why you put him under my care, he is an adult” He complained drastically.
- “You need to train him to be a good leader, he is my second in command, and stop whining like a baby” I eyed him as I reclined on my chair.
- “Olivia doesn't seem to like Selene” He mentioned.
- “You don't expect her to, she will come around eventually ” I replied.
- “Any update on the real reason you brought her here?” He asked further.
- “None yet, we have to observe her first” I replied pinching the gap between my nose. I have a lot on my table.
- I and Adrain were headed to the pack training ground when a commotion caught our attention in the living room.
- “That’s Olivia's voice,” Adrain said as we sauntered faster to the direction of the voice.
- “Get me a glass of juice” Olivia spat rudely to Selene.
- “I am sorry what?” She replied with a frown on her face.
- “Are you deaf?” She asked.
- “I heard what you said the first time and I am not your slave. If you want juice, go and get it yourself” Selene replied calmly, from the look of things she was trying to control her anger.
- “Excuse you?” Olivia charged, standing to her feet.
- “You are excused” Selene replied folding her hands.
- “Do you know what I mean to Damian? If I were to cry to him, you would be as good as dead” She threatened her which angered me a little.
- Selene chuckled sadly “What's the worst that could happen? I have been through a lot for your threat to scare me” She replied calmly. The pain in her voice pulled a string in me.
- “Go and get me a glass of juice, I won't repeat myself ” She insisted while Selene attempted to walk off.
- In the heat of things, Olivia slapped Selene across the face while she fell to the floor.
- “What is happening here?” My voice bellowed in the living room as I notice them flinch at the sound of it.
