• Andrei waited until the elevator was safely on its way up to the penthouse floor, then, without even looking at Veronika, he spun on his heel and exited the lobby. A cold gust of wind hit him square in the face the moment he stepped outside. He didn't need to check the weather app on his phone to know that the temperature had dropped a degree or two during the short time they'd spent indoors.
