• Holly leaned against the closet wall, squeezing her eyes shut and wishing the floorboards would just open and swallow her whole. She was going to die of embarrassment right here in the guest room. She briefly considered chasing Andrei down to explain that his new treasure box was a rogue online purchase from a random Tequila Tuesday night when all her inhibitions were down—but knowing Andrei, any excuse would only fuel his amusement. Yet, despite the burning blush on her cheeks, she found herself leaning into the memory of his touch, secretly wishing they were completely alone right now. But a wrench or hammer falling hard in the master bedroom reminded her that there were five other people in the house.
