• Mason had resigned to reality once he realized that his plan had failed today the moment Eleanor showed up. He was thankful for Elara’s quick–witted response, that dispelled Eleanor’s paranoid suspicion.
• He just didn’t expect that things would spiral out of control like this. Inadvertently, Elara would ask Eleanor to drink something that he had meticulously ‘prepared’, leading to the present chaos.
• Initially, Mason was suspicious, but when he saw Elara’s wide eyes and mouth slightly open in shock, she seemed like she hadn’t known that there was something wrong with the drink. He no longer thought much, his head filled with a headache on how to deal with this commotion.
