Chapter 25 Withdrawing Punishment

• Nebraska was in the den in front of the herd records checking that the living conditions were at their best. That part she had taken on to lighten Hades' task as alpha and she was good at it. After all she had taken on all those tasks when she was queen of her former pack.
• She had been young to take over so she didn't trust many to give her so much responsibility. And she had been right. The only wolf she had ever given her trust to had been Liam and look how that had turned out. She was much more cautious now. She was no longer just a puppy. At least now she had her husband, kids, brother”in”law, beta with her wife and she knew that with them there were no problems. Still, she didn't let her guard down.
• She felt the door burst open and saw two of her sons walk in. Their faces were tense and she left the papers on the table forgetting about them, her children were above all.
