- Doctor Harrison rushed into the room a few minutes after I hit the call button, his face breaking into a smile when he saw Anna-Kate's open eyes. He moved to her bedside, checking her vitals, shining a light into her eyes.
- "This is good," he said. "She's responding very well. The transplant is taking beautifully. She's a strong kid."
