Chapter 22

• "Who is your lover? Does he live in the New Horizon City? What have you two done? Has he worn you out already?"
• The insulting words from Gabriel's mouth filled Catherine with shame. A surge of humiliation and anger rose within her, but she knew she couldn’t afford to show any weakness in front of him. She kept her mouth shut and turned her head away, ignoring him.
• Gabriel grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him, and suddenly pressed her down on the seat. His hand was cold as ice, sending a shiver down Catherine’s spine. Her heart pounded wildly, as unease and fear flooded her entire mind.
