• r“Thank you, nurse.” I smile at the older woman who just finished changing my bandages. It had just been three weeks since I was hospitalized but I’m starting to regain my strength significantly.
• I can’t seem to remember what exactly happened and how I ended up here. The memory is just a blur. However, I do remember when Marcel had barged into the room he confined me in and I saw his monstrous face as he trod closer to me. I remember my shrieks and the scared look on my face but I can’t remember anything else aside from that.
• “You’re welcome, Ms. Rain…” The nurse's sonorous voice puts a halt to my thoughts. I nod at her and then she gathers her equipment to leave but suddenly stops at the door.
