Chapter 7 Meet The Stranger
- ~Alyona~
- I walked on the floor with this unknown, handsome man.
- As we walked, every peer diverted toward us.
- All the girls filled their eyes with jealousy as their jaws dropped to the floor. He delicately kept his hand on my waist, and a shiver ran down my spine. Our eyes collide with each other for a few seconds. He looked forward and smiled.
- His smile could kill thousands, and I was one of them. He got a cute dimple on his right cheek. Oh! God, I want to die for this dimple. Keeping myself calm, I got busy looking around, people gawking at us. Again, with my stupidity, I was about to stumble, but he held my hand.
- “Are you ok?” He said.
- His manly voice brushed my ears and suppressed all the surrounding sounds. I wanted to hear my name in his husky voice. I blinked my eyes again and again as I was damn sure I was in my dream. Dancing with a handsome guy like him can only happen in my dreams. He touched me again and asked,
- “Are you ok?”
- “Yes,” I replied in a guttural voice.
- No, I was not ok. This was the first time I watched a guy who agreed to dance with me. Considering myself lucky, I want to faint here in his arms with happiness. I backed up; stood on my feet with an elegant smile. We reached the dance floor, and he said,
- “Shall we, Miss?” showed his killer dimple. My heart was drumming against the ribcage, not ready to sustain these moments of excitement.
- I nodded.
- He leaned closer to me, grabbed my waist, and we held each other’s hand in a formal dance posture.
- Honestly, I didn’t know how this couple’s dance worked, but here I looked into his eyes, and my body started flowing in his rhythm by itself. The colorful light slowly revealed his perfect symmetric face. He didn’t wear a mask; his husky eyes scanned my face and tried to find my identity.
- I was lost in the moments I spent with him.
- After a few moments, the DJ played a soothing, romantic song.
- He spread his finger from my hand and softly kept my hand on his shoulder, pulling me closer to him.
- I smiled and acknowledged the change. It was not me who was lost in his eyes; I sensed he was looking at me intensely.
- He didn’t blink his eyes either. His eyes were taking my body in.
- “You look perfect in this dress,” the first compliment I heard in his smoky voice. I bit my lower lip because of nervousness and said,
- “Thank you,”
- His pointy nose touched my hand as he tried to feel my skin.
- “Do I know you?” He whispered in my ears,
- Here comes the bummer. This question snapped me out of this dream world. I gulped my fear and said in a shaky voice,
- “Does it matter?” He smiled, leaving me to fill the blanks of curiosity.
- He was about to ask another question, which I am sure I didn’t have the answer. I rested my index on his lips.
- “Shhh...” replied in a soft voice. I never believed I was capable of this seductive act.
- Suddenly I saw Olivia and Ivy at the corner of the floor, signaling me with something.
- Olivia waved her hand to get off the floor as Shawn watched me.
- I looked towards Shawn as he cocked his head towards us. His doubtful face passed me the message; I did not convince him yet.
- What should I do? How to get rid of him permanently?
- The questions started booming in my mind.
- I looked at Olivia; she flinched as if she was scared for me.
- My peer shifted to Ivy; she waved her hand towards me and pouted her lips to show me something.
- She folded her arms around Olivia and kissed her.
- What? What was she trying to tell me? My eyes widened, thinking of the action.
- Should I kiss him? I licked my lips twice as I stood between a prominent, chaotic place. I shook my head and looked at him.
- All I can see are his hazel eyes and lips.
- “I am sorry for this. I didn’t want to, but...”
- I wanted to ask his permission, but all my lustful thoughts came to my lips and changed into something strange.
- I raised my chin and cupped his face.
- The next moment I remember was I kissed him intensely.
- First, it felt soft and uncertain, but later it felt plum and delicious to me. He responded the same way as he clenched my waist as his lips brushed mine. Not innocent, like a tease, but hot, fiery, passionate, and demanding.
- He released a silent moan in his smoky voice that reminded me everyone was gawking at us.
- It froze the moment for a second, and I came to my senses.
- Olivia slapped her forehead, and Ivy bounced her toes in her place after watching an unexpected action from me.
- My eyes shifted to Shawn as his face looked sad emoji.
- Finally, I looked at that stranger. He looked surprised.
- Did I kiss him just now? I gulped the lump.
- “I am so sorry,”
- He stood there with a blank face.
- I ran from there, holding my dress high, as it would be easy to escape after what I did here.
- My friends followed me. With the fear of losing her job, Olivia called the taxi, and we jumped inside; left the place.
- “Al, what the hell you did back in there?”
- Olivia gruffed at me.
- Ivy hugged me with excitement and said,
- “Al, you are my superstar. Do you know whom you have kissed?”
- I was quiet after this act and looked at Olivia.
- “He is my boss’s boss. You kissed the most ruthless man in this New York City. You kissed The Alexander Hunt,” her voice echoed the taxi as she pounded her fist on the car seat.
- “I am sorry,” I said.
- But I was not. I felt fantastic when he responded the same way.
- I could see his dimple and hazel eyes in front of my eyes.
- It was the best day of my life.
- “Why you are sorry? You kissed the most handsome guy in this town.” Ivy patted my back proudly.
- “Shut up, Ivy. I tried to tell you, but you didn’t want to see me. You were lost in my boss’s arms.” She sighed.
- “I didn’t know that, Olivia,” I answered in a lower voice.
- She saw my sad face as I was about to cry and said sorry.
- “Ok, let’s go home, and we will talk about this later,” Olivia replied and turned.
- Ivy winked at me and showed me a thumbs up.
- It made me smile, but I wanted to get lost in that kiss again.
- What a fantastic day it was!
