• I arrived in New Orleans with a heavy heart and confused brain, I had an apartment there. Alex liked to joke that I had an apartment everywhere, but that was not true, I didn’t have one in California, Virginia and North Carolina.
• It took me merely a day to set up and place my clothes in a wardrobe. Did I block out everybody’s number? Yes. Did I hope I’d receive a call from anybody at all to know where I was? Yes, yes I did.
