• “Miss Levin,” the woman greets me as I enter the shop, followed by Colter. She is talking to me but her eyes are on him.
• “What can we do for you today?” She is overly nice because she knows who I am married to. It is one of the most expensive shops downtown and I have always hated coming here- it’s all too pretentious and fake. “Fake” describes The Levin’s world very well, actually. But I have to be nice, at least now.
