Chapter 6 Who Was She Hating

  • Song Shenglan’s breath became heavier. She clenched her fists so hard until she felt a sharp pain. All her emotions were crushed in her palms.
  • Just as she would stepped out from the door, a tall person showed up at the villa’s staircase.
  • Gong Zemu had put on his black suits. His suits were opened and revealed a dark blue shirt. It was nicely tailored to contour his chest.
  • His shirt with 2 buttons remained open on top exposed his bronze skin and strong chest. He looked masculine and amazing in such a normal outfit.
  • He had a necktie in his hand. His cold eyes were targeted at Song Shenglan who was at the living room door as he walked down the staircase. He felt something unusual.
  • Song Shenglan could still feel the awkwardness from the incident in the bathroom. Just as she was contemplating on how to greet the man, he seemed to be capable of reading one’s mind through his eyes and she was horrified.
  • What did he see just now?
  • Song Shenglan had a thorough search into her memory and found out that although Yu Chenwei always come to Gong family house, this was the first time she met Gong Zemu.
  • Although he was handsome and more attractive than Gong Minghan, Yu Chenwei was afraid of him. Therefore, she avoided Gong Zemu whenever she saw him and never greeted him before.
  • At that moment Song Shenglan did not know how to react. She nodded her head as a gesture for greeting, turnaround and left.
  • After she left the house, Gong Zemu came down from the staircase. He poured himself a cup of tea and his eyes were hunting for answers.
  • Why was the girl full of hatred just now? She was looking at the screen, who are they?
  • The image of Chu Yilun disappeared from the screen and was replaced with the news of Ning Nation’s oil field pollution.
  • Song Shenglan had left the villa of Gong family.
  • The sky was gloomy. It looked as though it was going to rain anytime soon, it felt really suffocating.
  • The road in the villa area was private. There was no public bus or taxi to be hired. After a few minutes of walking, Song Shenglan heard the sound of barking dogs coming from her back.
  • She was terrified. She turned to her back and saw a Tibetan Mastiff with fearsome eyes running towards her.
  • Song Shenglan turned pale instantly. She had no weapon in her hands and there was nobody around. How was it possible for her to fight against a Tibetan Mastiff?
  • Her body moved backwards unconsciously. She was contemplating if there was any chance to climb up to a tree beside her before the dog jumped forward.
  • However, she had underestimated the speed of a Tibetan Mastiff. In the blink of an eye, she watched the black creature leapt from the ground to attack her.
  • Song Shenglan was tensed as she could not run way in time. She remembered there was a lighter in her bag, thus she took it out and ignited the lighter.
  • The moment she raised the lighter, she heard an ear-piercing noise caused by friction between tires and the ground. A loud boom followed by the sound of animal howling.
  • Song Shenglan turned her eyes slowly. A black off-road vehicle stopped less than 10 centimeters next to her. The bumper of the car was dented. On the right side of the car, the black dog was laying on the ground.
  • There was a pool of fresh blood on the ground and the Tibetan Mastiff was completely breathless.
  • The lighter ignited in Song Shenglan’s hand was blown off by the gust of wind that the off-road vehicle brought over. She raised her eyes and met the eyes of the man in the driver’s seat.
