• “We need to warn Selene,” Damon said, already pacing the small living room. “If my father’s planning something for Saturday, she needs to know before it happens in front of the entire territory.”
• “You think she doesn’t already know?” my father asked.
• “I think she suspects,” Damon said. “But suspecting and knowing are different things. She warned Aria to be careful. That’s not the same as being part of whatever he’s planning.”
