• “Absolutely not,” I said, staring at Damon like he’d lost his mind. “You want to walk up to the man who’s been hunting girls like me and just, talk to him?”
• “I don’t think he’s hunting you the way we assumed,” Damon said. “Think about it, Aria. If he wanted you dead, he’s had a dozen chances already. Every text, every warning, he’s given us information. He told you to ask about my father. He warned you before the ceremony. That’s not the pattern of someone trying to eliminate you.”
• I hated that he was right.
