• After Kelly announced the truth for the second time, Alan stood still and didn't move, as he was speechless. He felt a piercing pain in his heart, as he couldn't believe that he'd wrongly accused Debbie all these years.
• “So you're saying that Debbie didn't cheat on me?”. Alan's throat felt dry when he asked Kelly.
• “First of all, who are you to my mother, mister?”. Kelly asked Alan with a straight face, as she didn't quite understand his question, nor his exact relationship with her mother.
