Chapter 13 Anger for The Beauty (1)

  • Han Yichen and Nan Lichuan glanced at Du Shaoheng and grinned at each other silently. Then, they turned to look at Lu Zhanting.
  • “Zhanting, how’s your wound?” Han Yichen asked with concern.
  • “Much better,” Lu Zhanting replied with a deep voice.
  • “Don’t worry, we crushed the Dark Eagles. They provoked us, so it means that they don’t value their lives,” Nan Lichuan said viciously.
  • Lu Zhanting looked at them and for some unknown reason, he felt uneasy.
  • “I’m going out to get some fresh air,” Lu Zhanting said.
  • Then, he stood up and went outside.
  • “What’s wrong with Zhanting?” Han Yichen asked meaningfully.
  • “Yeah, he has never been this way before,” Nan Lichuan said.
  • “Ah, you guys wouldn’t know. Zhanting is thinking of his girl,” Du Shaoheng said.
  • Splat.
  • The mouthful of wine that Nan Lichuan just drank spurted out of his mouth and landed on Du Shaoheng’s face.
  • “Hahaha!” Han Yichen burst into laughter.
  • “Nan Lichuan.” Du Shaoheng gritted his teeth.
  • “Sorry,” Nan Lichuan apologized.
  • “Hmph, I won’t tell you guys anything anymore. If you want to know, ask him yourself,” Du Shaoheng grumbled.
  • Han Yichen and Nan Lichuan looked at each other and expressed that they weren’t really that interested.
  • Han Yichen, Nan LiChuan and the rest stood up and went over to Lu Zhanting.
  • Their private room was at the highest point of the building.
  • Lu Zhanting stood outside his door and looked straight ahead, unmoving.
  • Suddenly, they saw a fat old man chasing after an injured girl.
  • “This place is dangerous grounds for a little girl,” Du Shaoheng commented.
  • “Since when did you become so kind?” Han Yichen said calmly.
  • “Yeah, how many people have died under your scalpel?” Nan Lichuan teased in a low voice.
  • “What do you think, Zhanting?” Han Yichen asked.
  • Lu Zhanting hadn’t said a single word but his eyes were focused on the girl.
  • Ring-ring.
  • “Hello,” Lu Zhanting said icily.
  • “Boss, we have been following Miss Mu. She entered Night but she hasn’t come out yet,” Lu Qing reported.
  • Upon hearing this, Lu Zhanting emanated such an aura that no one dared to come close to him.
  • Han Yichen and the others saw him like that and thought something major had happened, so they recollected themselves.
  • “What did you say?” Lu Zhanting asked frostily.
  • “Miss Mu is still at Night,” Lu Qing said timidly.
  • Upon hearing this, uneasiness crept up on him.
  • “Stop, you b*tch! If I catch you, you are dead,” Mr. Huang bellowed.
  • Mu Xitong ran and ran. She wanted to escape this place.
  • But her body was getting weaker and the medication was taking effect. Her body was extremely warm!
  • Mu Xitong saw the exit of Night and ran toward the staircase, dragging her injured body.
  • Mr. Huang saw the guards nearby and yelled, “Stop this b*tch!”
  • Mu Xitong saw the people in front of her and she slipped, plummeting down the staircase.
  • Her fragile body rolled down the staircase until she hit the bottom.
  • Mu Xitong was drained of energy this moment and she looked at the expensive chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
  • For once, she was filled with hatred.
  • When Lu Zhanting saw her familiar face from upstairs, his phone fell to the floor.
  • He raised his hand and slammed onto the metal rail, then raced downstairs.
  • “What’s the matter with Zhanting?” Han Yichen asked coldly.
  • “I don’t know, something must have happened over there,” Nan Lichuan said solemnly.
  • “Oh my god. No way. That’s too much of a coincidence,” Du Shaoheng mumbled.
  • “What? What do you mean?” Han Yichen asked.
  • “Madness. This is madness. Do you know who that girl is?” Du Shaoheng pointed at Mu Xitong, who was laying in the lobby.
  • “Isn’t she a prostitute?” asked Nan Lichuan ironically.
  • “No, she is the girl that Lu Zhanting swore to protect,” Du Shaoheng replied. He was on the verge of a breakdown.
  • Han Yichen and Nan Lichuan looked at Du Shaoheng in shock.
  • “W-What did you say?” Han Yichen stammered.
  • “He swore to protect her,” Nan Lichuan repeated.
  • “Talk later, I have to go down or else I don’t know whether Zhanting will fly into a rage or not.” Du Shaoheng raced toward the lobby.
  • “Let’s go check it out,” Han Yichen said emotionlessly.
  • “Sure.” Nan Lichuan nodded.
  • Mu Xitong lay there unmoving. She wanted to leave this world, this place.
  • Mr. Huang ran huffily to Mu Xitong’s side and kicked her.
  • “F*ck. Keep running, you b*tch.” He dragged Mu Xitong up.
  • When Mr. Huang was about to leave, an enraged voice rang from behind him, chilling him to his bones.
  • “Let go of her,” Lu Zhanting ordered fiercely.
  • When Mr. Huang heard his scary voice, he dropped Mu Xitong onto the floor.
  • Lu Tingxi ran over and caught her body.
  • When he saw Mu Xitong’s body, he felt sorry for her and, at the same time, furious.
  • “Xitong, I’m sorry for coming so late,” Lu Zhanting said remorsefully.
  • When Du Shaoheng and the others reached the lobby, they saw Lu Zhanting cradling Mu Xitong.
  • They looked at Lu Zhanting in shock, unable to believe their eyes.
  • When Mu Xitong saw his familiar mask, she smiled weakly and slipped into unconsciousness.
  • “Xitong, Xitong,” Lu Zhanting cried in a heartbroken voice.
  • “Um… Zhanting, why don’t you hand her over and let me take a look,” Du Shaoheng said cautiously.
  • Lu Zhanting carefully held Mu Xitong in his arms and walked over to Du Shaoheng.
  • “Take care of her. I’ll bring her back to Yuwan later,” Lu Zhanting said.
  • “Okay,” Du Shaoheng replied.
  • Han Yichen and Nan Lichuan looked at Lu Zhanting, perplexed.
  • Du Shaoting brought Mu Xitong back to their private room and went back to Lu Zhanting.
  • Lu Zhanting said that he would bring Mu Xitong back to Yuwan and his medical box was also at Yuwan, so he could only wait until then for a detailed examination.
  • Lu Zhanting looked at Mr. Huang murderously. At this moment, Lu Zhanting seemed to be Satan emerging from hell.
  • Mr. Huang had never seen a man with such a strong aura. He stumbled and fell onto the floor.
  • Lu Zhanting took out a gun and toyed with it slowly.
  • “P-Please, no,” Mr. Huang trembled.
  • “No? How dare you harm Xitong? You deserve it,” Lu Zhanting said ruthlessly.
  • Han Yichen and Nan Lichuan were stunned to hear this but Du Shaoheng was a picture of calm.
  • Mr. Huang looked at the gun in Lu Zhanting’s hand and lay on the ground, not daring to move an inch, because he was sure that if he did, he would be dead.
