• Realization struck Everest like a cold wave of fear, making him come back to his senses, but before he could utter a word in his defense and beg for his pathetic life, Asher’s hand clamped around his throat, squeezing the life out of him. The Alpha King’s face was a mask of fury, his voice a menacing growl that reverberated through the room.
• “How dare you!” Asher snarled menacingly, his grip tightening to the point where Everest’s face began to turn red from the lack of oxygen. “You dare lay a hand on your queen, who is pregnant. You’re a disgrace!”
