• I slump against Ronan’s back as pure fire races through me. Energy pours from his skin and seeps into mine, calming me even while ordering me to relax. I try to grasp his shoulders so I can steady myself, but every fiber of my being tells me to relent and do exactly as he says.
• Both packs immediately comply and stop in place. A few sway, as though they too feel the strength of will behind the commands from their Alphas. The growls don’t stop, but at least they aren’t fighting.
