Chapter 10 Darius's Pack Meeting

• Elara stood by the fancy windows and looked out over the mansion's huge gardens. The sun was just starting to rise, and the horizon was just starting to get brighter. But her thinking was anything but calm. Her head was full of thoughts about the bizarre and creepy dreams she'd had and the strange and hard-to-read symbols she'd seen.
• With each tick of the clock, she could feel her rage growing. She was stuck here among people she didn't know, and Darius, the man she was supposed to trust, wasn't even present to explain anything. His absence was just another way to control her, another reminder that she didn't fit in.
