Chapter 40

• My voice died inside. It was him. He had brought him and paid all the bills. Why did he do this? Why did he let me misjudge him? Why did he let me hate him? I remember him telling me that he killed him but it was a plain lie! What should I do with this guy?
• "I'll call you later, Thomas," I said and hung up the phone.
• I was shocked. He lied to me. Why did he keep it hidden? Does he like when people hate him? Blame him for killing someone when clearly he tries to save them!
