• Squeaky nurse shoes echoed down the abandoned corridor as a food hostess pushed a cart with loose wheels.
• "Hello, I'm broadcasting for floor 3. Dinner is ready; food service is here," a masked food hostess announced over the static-filled intercom. She pushed the cart to the nurse’s station to deliver trays for the patients in the Hazard Room.
• Nurse Rebecca checked her watch and sighed with relief. She received a message from the doctor on duty and was glad to see the food hostess because they had just run out of IV bags with liquid nutrients. "Finally! Oh, we also have an unconscious patient. The doctor requested NPO for a patient in room 308. We ran out and were wondering if your manager told you to replenish the supply here," Nurse Rebecca asked anxiously.
