Chapter 16 Shadows Of Doubt

• After two days in hiding, Alicia, General Matthews, Nathan Reynolds, and Tristan emerged from their safe house to embark on the next phase of seeking justice for Carla and putting an end to the anonymous person who had their hands in one too many pots. Tristan, finally able to go home with a promise not to do anything rash or out of the norm, began to pace his living room, recounting all that had happened in the safe house. He found out that the woman he had unintentionally fallen in love with had multiple identities because of the various jobs she had been assigned. With a promise from her to share her experiences as an espionage agent, Tristan reluctantly returned to his normal life, with Alicia promising to come back after she checked on her son Aiden.
