Chapter 9 First Win

  • (Song: Trust Fall by Bebe Rexha)
  • BELLE
  • "I'm really getting bored here, Belle." Samantha said to me as we walked to the garden. It was not really early in the morning. There were no clocks in the villa, so we weren't able to know what the time was.
  • "Today is day five. We still extra fifty five days. I don't think you have started getting bored," I said. "Morever, you shouldn't be the one complaining, I should. You brought us here, remember."
  • "Point of correction, darling," Samantha flashed a smile. "I brought only you, but you chose to drag me along."
  • "Ohh, you want to turn the tables now." I narrowed my eyes at her, amused.
  • She came close to me and put her arm around my shoulder. "We both know the truth," she sighed, taking her arm down, then holding my hand as we sat on a bench under the willow tree. "I thought we would be having games and challenges to keep us busy. I enjoyed the last one we played." She bit her lips.
  • I rolled my eyes. I didn't enjoy it at all. It reminded me of Brandon and the two shots of tequila I chose over kissing him. It seemed like I could taste the tequila on my lips again. Then I recalled why Samantha said she was happy.
  • "Why won't you? Come to think of it, we haven't spoken about it. Where did you learn how to dance like that?
  • "I have my ways." She winked at me.
  • "We have been friends for close to three to four years, and I don't know you can shake your body, not to talk of, dancing like full blown stripper. I'm pretty sure Richard's dick got up after that sexual tease."
  • She burst out laughing. "I just said I have my ways."
  • "Is there any other thing I don't know about you?"
  • "What... No." She said with a nervous laugh.
  • "Are you sure?" I jokingly put her face close to mine, my eyes deep into hers.
  • "A hundred percent, cross my heart." She stated.
  • I brought my hands down from her face
  • "So, has he tried to talk to you yet?"
  • "Who?" I got a shaky feeling in my stomach because I knew who she was talking about.
  • "Your ex fiancé." She loud-whispered.
  • I let our a deep breath. "Yeah."
  • "For real?"
  • "Last four days."
  • "Four whole days! It's like you would stop spending time with Kyle, because I'm missing out a lot."
  • "What about Max? You think I don't see you two get cozy." I teased.
  • "I have no choice and he's my partner. Don't change the topic. What did Brandon say to you?
  • "He texted first, which I did not open because I deleted it. Then next day, after breakfast, while washing the dishes he came to the kitchen, saying he wants to talk to me. I brushed him off and he got close to me, stopping me with his hand. It's funny how I could smell the skillet I made that morning on him."
  • "I saw Carina making something for them after you were done," she said. "What was your response?"
  • "Told him straight up I wasn't interested in talking to him."
  • "Way to go, girl." She raised her hand for a high five.
  • Our phones buzzed at once, interrupting our conversation.
  • 'There was a challenge coming up in the next five minutes.' The message read when I opened my phone screen.
  • "Finally. Something to keep me busy." Samantha said, standing up. "Let's go. We'll continue this talk later."
  • When we got there, everyone were seated with Logan standing on the stage.
  • "Hello Contestants! We meet again. Today, we would be playing a compatibility game. It's going to be into two parts - one happening today and another happening any other time. The one for today is for the women. Their male partners will answer questions as regards to them. Ten points for a yes and zero point for a no. The first couple for today's challenge is Belle and Kyle. Can you two come up?" Logan gestured.
  • Kyle and I went to the stage, while other contestants sat on the sofa looking at us.
  • "I will start from the simple ones, before moving to the hard and extra spicy ones. Hope you're ready?"
  • "I am, Logan."
  • "Alright. Belle, come, have these cards." Logan said to me, as he stretched his hands to give me two huge cards.
  • It was a YES and NO card.
  • "You know what to do with them, don't you?"
  • "Yes, Logan."
  • "Okay. Let's begin then. Kyle, what's her favorite color?"
  • "Blue." Kyle responded almost immediately.
  • 'That's quite a lucky guess.' I thought as I showed the YES card.
  • Kyle got most of the questions, which was surprising to me because we never discussed about any of them.
  • "What do you think it's her love language?"
  • "Ummm... Not sure about this. But, I'd go for physical touch...and quality time."
  • I raised a YES card. Those were my two best love languages.
  • "How many kids do you think she may want to have in the future?"
  • Kyle scratched the back of his head for this one. "I'd say three, two girls and a boy."
  • What he just said reminded me of when Brandon and I were having conversation about kids. He wanted two girls and a boy, while I chose two boys and a girl.
  • "Is he right, Belle?" Logan asked when he saw I haven't lifted any of the cards.
  • "He's kind of right though. I want three kids, but two boys and a girl."
  • "He will have half point for guessing three right." Logan said as he tapped on his tablet. "Last question for you, Kyle. What's her favorite sex position?"
  • "Reverse Cowgirl." Kyle said with a chuckle, adjusting his glasses.
  • "Belle, your response?" Logan turned to me.
  • I showed a NO card, laughing. Only one person knew the answer to that question... Sad, we are no longer together. Gotta get a new favorite soon.
  • "It was fun having you guys. A round of applause for Kyle and Belle, please."
  • The other contestants jammed their hands.
  • "Samantha and Max, you're up next."
  • The rest of the challenge was very hilarious. I hoped the future challenges would be as fun as this.
  • When it got to Brandon's turn, his eyes were on me while he answered Logan's questions as regards to his partner, Carina. He failed almost everything because he was answering the questions as if I was his partner.
  • "Finally, we have come to the end of today's challenge and our winners are..." Logan paused a bit as he looked at us one after the other. "Kyle and Belle! They had a ninety point five percent score making them the most compatible couple of the villa." He announced.
  • Everyone gave a clap.
  • "Have a nice day, Contestants. We would be having another challenge next week."
  • I was stunned with what Kyle did next after Logan left. He swept me into his arms, lifting me up like I weighed nothing and cradled me close to his chest. I helped him fix his glasses.
  • Some of the contestants cheered for us.
  • "I hope you two end up together." One of them named Raine said.
  • "I hope so too." Kyle gave me a peck on my right cheek.
  • 'Oh wow.' I thought. My eye caught Brandon staring at Kyle and I with a scowl on his face. I slowly rested on Kyle's shoulder as he walked inside.
  • 'About us ending together, I don't see that happening....for now.'
