Chapter 22

• Zach's seemingly loud click of his tongue jolted me out of my trance. I cast a glance at him, and I notice him looking in the direction where Rizzo vanishes. His heavy gaze lingers on it for a moment before shifting back to me, his hostile expression remaining.
• His grip on my arm loosens, and I reach out and gently touch the arm he had been gripping. I averted my gaze and lowered my head, as I couldn’t take making eye contact with him with his pair of fierce eyes.
• The tension in the air has slightly decreased, but as I look around at the men around us, I notice that they have become more cautious since Rizzo left. Everything appears to be expected, but everyone is on high alert.
