- I shoved her aside gently and headed for the stairs. She scoffed, gripped my wrist, and spun me around to face her.
- “What’s the meaning of this?” I asked and folded my hands defensively across my chest. I was thinking of having a word with her after what Silas told me about her. A lot had happened within these past weeks and I wasn’t able to reach out to her.
