Chapter 9 Disappointment
- The old lady whom she cared for was unwell and she had been taken to the hospital, so she had gotten off early and had stopped by the hospital. Leonard had been busy all day. Luckily for her, he was one of the few who had an office and so she had stayed there while he was working. It was getting late and so she decided to get a taxi to her house. She was outside of the hospital when she noticed the sky and turned grey, it looked like it was about to rain. She stared admiringly at the sky.
- She tried to flag down a taxi but none of them would stop as everyone was rushing to board and then all of a sudden the rain began to fall hard, it was a sudden heavy downpour, thunder crackled in the sky. Everyone rushed to find shelter but she found herself somehow still under the rain. She had always been fascinated with the idea of rain, so instead of seeking for cover she stayed put not minding the fact she was drenched. There were loud blaring of horns as cars hardly saw ahead of them, her white turtleneck clung onto her like second skin, the curls on her hair had disappeared.
- There was a mini chaos as everyone was running helter-skelter, she twirled around, a few who caught sight of her thought her to be stupid. She had a peaceful expression on her face and a hint of a smile on her lips...
