Chapter 40 Thirty-nine
- Jackson, after an hour of walking, finally found Azalea by the seashore. To be honest, he thought she had left. Then again going back to the city on foot would take all night.
- She's sitting on the sand, her knees pressed against her chest as she stared at the illuminated water. Jackson pranced over to her and took a seat next to her.
- He just sat there, listening to the water swish around in its place as the light from the moon painted its coat. Azalea shifts her body to the right, not wanting to face him.
