• Skylar knew she wouldn't get a straight answer out of Miranda. Her best bet was to approach Penelope's mom, Dorothy, directly. She was already worried about how she'd pay Tobias back that million. Now, to make things worse, there was a whole line of people Miranda had already scammed.
• Dorothy was famously stingy in their neighborhood. Most folks went grocery shopping in the morning—Dorothy waited until late afternoon to pick up the day's leftovers, all wilted and cheap.
