- A gentle pat on Samarra's cheek jolted her awake, and she didn't know she'd fallen asleep as Aunt Lucille applied makeup on her face.
- Aunt Lucille's smiling face appeared when she woke up. "You're so beautiful, Samarra; you look just barbie," Aunt Lucille said to her with pleasure.
