• The Silver Tower has always been a solid structure, towering, ancient, and a testament to the power and influence of the Lycans. Tonight, though, in the silence of my quarters, I feel caged in for the first time since we returned from the island.
• I sit by the windowsill, looking out over the devastation left by the wildfire. The forest was recovering, albeit slowly. I can see a few patches of greenery, here or there, but it is nothing compared to the dense forest that once outgrew its bounds.
