• As Ryder pulled up in front of his apartment, Bella opened the door without waiting for him to turn off the ignition. She rushed into the building. The triplets got out at once, hurrying after her, but she walked into the elevator without waiting for them. She watched as the doors slid shut in their faces.
• She leaned her back against the walls of the elevator, her mind racing with thoughts on how to convince them she was telling the truth. As soon as the elevator slid open, she stepped into the reception area, waiting for the triplets.
