Chapter 22

• Once Desire realized Ying and the healer was not in sight, she quickly ran into the bathroom and got the same ointment and herb that her master had used on her the other day. She also took a bucket of water and two pieces of cloth.
• By the time she got back to his side, he had woken up again, looking so frail and weak.
• Desire helped him up to rest against the wall. With tears in her eyes, she put the cloth into the bucket of water, wriggled the water out and placed it on his head, trying to reduce his temperature.
