• The rain hadn’t stopped since dawn, streaking the glass walls of Blackwood Tower like tears the sky refused to hide. Inside the seventy-seventh-floor office, the city stretched beneath Damian like a chessboard,every piece controlled, every move calculated. At least, that was what he believed.
