Chapter 3 Anyone Who Isn't My Future Fiancé Touches The Attire Will Be Struck By A Curse!
- “Lady Freya, do you really want to marry me?”
- After the silence lingered for a few seconds, Leander finally blinked in bewilderment. His voice trembled slightly as he asked again uncertainly.
- I smiled softly and calmly nodded.
- “I really, really want to.”
- I emphasized the words in a serious tone.
- “What? You don’t want to become my husband?”
- I deliberately asked him back. His handsome face immediately flushed faintly. Avoiding my eyes in embarrassment, he nodded.
- “No, Lady Freya. Of course I’m more than willing.”
- Hearing his words, I finally breathed a sigh of relief.
- “Then it’s settled. I’ll see you at our engagement ceremony three days from now.”
- I calmly emphasized my words, suddenly noticing that Leander’s ears had turned even redder.
- The Pairing Ceremony ended amid everyone’s astonishment, and all kinds of rumors quickly spread. I simply pretended not to hear them. After leaving the sacred temple, I went directly to the tailor shop to try on my engagement attire.
- As soon as the tailor saw me, he enthusiastically offered me tea before carefully bringing out a dazzling women’s engagement attire.
- “Lady Freya, this is the engagement attire you ordered. It is adorned with precious gold and gems, and even the embroidery was done with golden thread, just as you instructed.”
- The tailor respectfully handed the attire to me, smiling gently as he explained,
- “And this attire has been blessed by Zeus himself..."
- I happily reached out to accept the attire. The soft silk made me nod in satisfaction. Before I could say anything, a familiar, sweet, coquettish voice sounded from behind me.
- “Oh, it looks so stunning. Lord Elias, I like it a lot.”
- When I turned around, I saw Lyra approaching with her arm linked through Elias’s. Her eyes remained fixed on the engagement attire in my hands as she blinked coquettishly.
- “Lady Freya, is this your apology gift for me? You’re really so thoughtful.”
- She smiled sweetly, a gleam of delight and greed flashing across her face, while Elias also nodded in satisfaction.
- “Well done, Freya. I can forgive you now. Give it to Freya..."
- “Lady Freya, this is the men’s engagement attire you ordered..."
- Before Elias could finish speaking, the tailor respectfully brought out the men’s engagement attire. The luxurious garment, made of soft, delicate silk, and its exquisite stitching immediately caught Elias’s attention.
- “Did you prepare this for me, Freya?”
- His eyes widened in surprise as he looked at me, a hint of smugness flashing in his eyes. His voice unconsciously rose as well.
- “Thoughtful, Freya. It barely meets my standards..."
- He clicked his tongue as he reached toward the attire.
- “All right, hand it over. Let me try it on.”
- He said it casually to the tailor.
- Looking at how naturally he acted, I couldn’t help but sneer. Where did he get the confidence to think that he was still my future fiancé, the one who would be wearing this attire?
- Had the rumors that I was going to be engaged to Leander still not reached him?
- “This is the engagement attire for me and my future fiancé, blessed by my father.”
- I emphasized each word coldly.
- “Anyone who isn’t my future fiancé touches the men’s attire will be struck by a curse. Are you really sure you want to touch it so casually?”
